HDTV Buying Guide
- With 11 comments
HDTV is an expensive item, it must be planned properly in order not to regret later. Just remember this, HDTV is a long term investment!
Step 1: Make sure how much should you spend ?
The very basic step is to make sure how much should you spend, so we can concentrate on the choice based on the HDTV price range.
Step 2: How far should i sit from my HDTV ?
Buying a gigantic HDTV size is okhay as long as the budget is still there. BUT, buying a big HDTV is a suicide although you have sufficient budget. According to the CNET review, the ideal to watch HDTV is 1.5x – 3x diagonal HDTV. For example, if your HDTV is a widescreen 50 “(127cm) then watch a minimum distance / maximum is 190cm/380cm.
Step 3: The main features and connectivity
Features and the type of connectivity in HDTV is also a consideration in buying a HDTV. How many AV equipment you want to connect on at your new HDTV, features of PIP, DVI connection and VGA, SD card slot, etc.
Step 4: Browsing the internet
Go to Google, then enter the data: The type of HDTV (Plasma / LCD), screen size, budget, brand. I usually see a high rating HDTV first because that is the best one, then I read and make note about advantages and disadvantages, this is step is very time-saving if we want to test our HDTV in the store later
Step 5: Check the price and make sure it’s ready stock.
After you made a choice which HDTV you want to buy, check the prices through telephone, email, website, or even come directly to the store. Also you should ask the store if there’s any program promotion, if there’s any, you should wait, because it certainly more cheaper at that time. After this, prepared to step over our electronics store!
Step 6: Consider the advantages and disadvantages of your HDTV choice
Use your favorite movies in the HDTV you want to buy, see your favorite scenes, then compare, find which one is better. After that, if you dont wan’t to be heavily disappointed at home, take your note and see if the connectivity and features is the same. Then look at the advantages and disadvantages that you have noted before, is it right ? Because not all the professional reviews or user reviews is true.
Step 7: Add HDTV support accessories
Do not forget to buy the HDTV Surge Protector is useful to avoid any damage to the electrical voltage. Buy a trusted brand! Do not be stingy!
CONGRATULATION for your new HDTV !
